A commissioned portrait is a unique way to celebrate the animals who enrich our lives, whether as a treasured keepsake, a thoughtful gift, or a lasting tribute to a much-loved companion.
Each portrait is individually created with care and attention to detail, capturing not only your pet's likeness but also the personality and character that make them so special. My aim is to create artwork that feels both lifelike and meaningful—something that will be treasured for years to come
Choosing Your Reference Photos
The quality of the reference photographs plays an important role in creating a successful portrait. Clear, well-lit images allow me to capture the finer details, expression, and character that make your pet unique.
If you're unsure which photographs to choose, I am always happy to help and advise. If your pets have never sat still together for the perfect photograph, it is often possible to create a portrait using images from different photographs, allowing them to be brought together in a single artwork.
Creating Your Portrait
Once we have discussed your requirements, I will begin work on your portrait. Particular attention is given to the eyes and expression, helping to capture the individuality and spirit of each animal.
If you would like, I can share occasional progress photographs so you can follow the creation of your portrait as it develops.
Completion
Before your portrait is delivered, I will send photographs of the completed artwork to ensure you are completely happy with the finished piece. Once approved, your portrait will be carefully packaged and arranged for collection or delivery.
Memorial Portraits
Our animals leave lasting pawprints on our hearts, and a portrait can be a beautiful way to honour their memory. Memorial commissions are approached with the same care, sensitivity, and attention to detail as every piece I create.
A Thoughtful Gift
A commissioned portrait also makes a thoughtful and personal gift for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, or other special occasions, creating a lasting reminder of a much-loved companion.
